This has been an unusual class experience
indeed, one I knew little about before signing up for the class last day of
drop add after being recommended by a faculty staff at the business school. I believe
the most formative experience has been approaching people, trying to convince
them take a moment from their busy lives to give you a little help. That was
something I was reluctant to do, grew more confident as time passed by and feel
very good about going forward because I understand it’s an quality to have in
the world of entrepreneurship. The most fun moment was trying to give away
dollar bills and the looks in people’s faces; I did disclose the reason of what
I was doing after I had gotten their reaction so their reaction to the class
exercise was also priceless. I do surely believe this class has had an impact
in the our entrepreneurial mindset as well in the sense that it has made us
more aware of the ins and outs and the challenges that come with it. For the
future students I recommend to put themselves out there and find the courage to
try, that’s the only hard part, everything that follows is nothing short of
exciting and rewarding.
Hi Lirim, great post! I too thought one of more challenging, yet formative experiences was approaching people and filming the encounters. It definitely is a good quality to have, not only in the world of entrepreneurship but in the business world as well. Side note: you forgot to include a picture, but maybe you'll see my comment and add one :) Please feel free to check out my final reflection here: http://biancamarques23.blogspot.com/2016/04/final-reflection.html
ReplyDeleteHi Lirim,
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this class would turn out to be what it is prior to registering, either. The interview assignments were difficult, and I believe I increased my skills as you did. I didn’t complete the “Free Money” assignment, however I saw some of the reactions in class. I should have put in the effort to complete this assignment because I feel it would have been more amusing than challenging. I think the real value this class comes from going out and speaking with strangers, as the other students have taught me in their “Final Reflection” post. The entrepreneurial mindset is now a part of everyone who completed this class, to some degree, and I’m glad you feel you have it. Good luck on your future classes.
